Conducts mental health crisis assessments and crisis intervention for persons of all ages seeking emergency psychiatric services in a hospital emergency department as part of the Psychiatric Response Team. Assesses patients’ level of suicide/harm risk and obtains any available collateral information to determine the most appropriate level of care in consultation with ED providers and psychiatrists. Consults and coordinates with medical staff in the ED and inpatient behavioral health unit to ensure patient needs are being appropriately addressed as a healthy disposition plan is created. Coordinates and facilitates admission to inpatient units, when clinically appropriate. For those clients admitted at an MHS facility, completes insurance pre-certification and ensures that all necessary legal paperwork is completed accurately. Working with a client in the least restrictive environment is promoted. Assists in coordinating the outpatient care of patients who are not in need of inpatient care and engages patients in developing their safety plan to help them manage future crises. Completes clinical documentation within the electronic health record for all patients that are assessed.

The New Graduate Registered Nurse is a full-time registered nurse position with a one-year nationally recognized Nurse Residency Program that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a professional nurse. This program allows you to build relationships with other new RNs and to work collaboratively on a project that is important to advancing the care of our patients. The Evening OR Charge Nurse will efficiently coordinate OR cases in the evening hours, while ensuring lunch breaks and decreasing OR teams throughout the shift. In addition, the Charge Nurse will prioritize urgent/emergent cases, while finishing the day's elective scheduled cases, and communicate with surgeons and anesthesia throughout the shift to coordinate cases with all applicable teams.
OR nurses are responsible for every aspect of the patient’s care during surgery. The day begins with preparing the room for the procedure, picking the patient up from pre-op, positioning the patient, maintaining the charting and caring for the patient before, during and after the surgery. OR nurses act as the liaison between the family and the surgeon, beginning with the call to let the family know that the first incision has been made. The nurse will continue to contact the family every hour or two to provide updates. During the surgery, the nurse is responsible for updating charting/paperwork, getting supplies if needed and administering meds to the sterile field. This process may be repeated for 1-4 surgeries a day depending on length of each surgery. The nurse works in an extremely team focused environment with your core team, scrub personnel, CRNA, Anesthesiologist and surgeon. As a Home Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will work under supervision of the registered nurse and perform a variety of patient care activities in the home setting, or assisted living. Provides direct crisis intervention services to adults, children, and families in the community as part of the Mobile Crisis Response team. Presents to the scene of crisis in the community, conducts mental health crisis assessments, de-escalates crisis situations, and assesses level of suicide/harm risk for persons experiencing mental health crises. Provides crisis intervention and stabilization services promoting mental health treatment in the least restrictive setting by coordinating care to outpatient resources or assisting with inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. When inpatient hospitalization is needed, ensures necessary legal paperwork is accurately completed. Completes paperwork per agency/setting policies and requirements of funding sources. Ensures continuity of care for high risk persons suffering from mental illness through direct clinical intervention, monitoring, and advocacy functions. Seeks consultation with the supervisor when needed. Develops a healthy and safe disposition plan with clients. Provides community-based recovery support services to children and families in the community as part of the Youth Crisis Stabilization Team. Ensures continuity of care for at-risk youth suffering from serious emotional disorders through direct clinical intervention, monitoring, and advocacy functions. Must complete paperwork per agency/setting policies and requirements of funding source.
Shift: Four 10 Hour Shifts
Schedule: 8 AM - 6PM, Every Third Weekend
