The Epic Clinical Analyst II independently manages Epic system configuration, optimization, and support for clinical applications across Inpatient, Ambulatory, Procedural, and Ancillary settings. This role requires clinical experience and Epic expertise to collaborate with nursing, provider, and IT teams to analyze workflows, implement system enhancements, and provide training and technical support to end users. The analyst also participates in Epic system upgrades, testing, and change management to improve operational efficiency and align Epic solutions with clinical best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
Epic certification is HIGHLY preferred
Educational Background: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active and unrestricted license.
A bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN), Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field is desired.
Epic Certification:
• Epic system training and certification are required and must align with assigned application responsibilities. Specific certification requirements and timelines, including allowances of up to one (1) year for new hires, will be documented in a position-specific addendum.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with three plus years of clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory setting.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in training end users and troubleshooting system issues.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
1. Configure, build, and maintain Epic clinical applications to align with patient care and operational needs.
2. Assist with system testing, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize workflows.
3. Bridge the gap between clinical users and IT teams, ensuring Epic configurations meet real-world clinical requirements.
4. Ensure seamless integration of Epic applications with clinical workflows to enhance patient safety and efficiency.
5. Provide hands-on training and support to clinicians, nurses, and other end users.
6. Develop of user-friendly training materials, job aids, and workflows tailored to clinical roles.
7. Conduct interactive system demonstrations and training sessions to enhance adoption and proficiency.
8. Serve as an Epic super user and go-to resource for clinical teams.
9. Partner with physicians, nurses, and operational leaders to assess system needs and enhancements.
10. Collaborate with IT, project managers, and leadership to ensure successful Epic system implementations.
11. Participate in clinical advisory groups, steering committees, and governance meetings to advocate for system improvements.
12. Monitor Epic system performance and ensure compliance with clinical and organizational standards.
13. Participate in system upgrades, testing, validation, and change management processes.
14. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance system functionality based on clinical feedback.
15. Ensure Epic configurations align with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Joint Commission, CMS, and Meaningful Use requirements.
16. Generate reports, dashboards, and data insights to improve patient care and compliance.
17. Support initiatives related to clinical quality measures, patient safety, and performance improvement.
18. Contribute to Epic-related projects, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
19. Identify and implement workflow improvements that enhance efficiency, patient outcomes, and clinician satisfaction.
20. Collaborate on change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new system features and upgrades.
