Ensures quality, safety, and effective neurodiagnostic testing within the Neurodiagnostic Services department while supporting patient-centered care. Provides specialized oversight of daily Neurodiagnostic Services operations, collaborates with physicians and leadership, and ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards in accordance with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Education:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree required.
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Neuroscience, bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or health-related field preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) credential and/or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
Current Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.) or Illinois Polysomnography License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required within 45 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Mandatory Reporter training required within 45 days of hire and maintained throughout employment, in accordance with Illinois law.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) is required.
Experience performing and scoring PSG, HST, EEG, MSLT, and PAP procedures required.
Clinical background in neurodiagnostic testing within a hospital or accredited sleep lab setting required.
