The Epic Analyst III serves as a subject matter expert in Epic applications, leading system enhancements, troubleshooting complex issues, and advising stakeholders on best practices. This role involves greater independence in managing projects, implementing optimizations, and mentoring junior analysts.
Location: Please note this is a hybrid position with a set scheduled 3 days (Tues - Thurs) per month onsite in Springfield, IL. Travel expenses are covered per our company guidelines for non-local employees. We are happy to offer the flexibility of a hybrid position with some remote/ at home flexibility.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Epic certification in Healthy Planet and Compass Rose Clinical Build highly preferred
- Epic certification in Healthy Planet and Compass Rose Analytics Build and/or Value-Based Analytics Build hihgly preferred
• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Information Systems, Clinical Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
• Epic Certification: Certification in two or more Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Willow, Orders, Epic Resolute, Epic Inpatient, Epic Ambulatory, OpTime, Radiant, Beaker, etc.) required within 1 year hire.
• Five or more years of experience in Information Technology including project management, advanced support management or other similar experience required. Relevant system experience in EMR systems is preferred.
• Epic certification in one or more modules preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Epic configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic system design, configuration, and maintenance is preferred.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Lead configuration, build, and maintenance of Epic applications to align with business needs.
2. Responsible for system testing, issue resolution, and application troubleshooting.
3. Optimize workflows to improve efficiency and user experience.
4. Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
5. Perform system demonstrations and training sessions for staff.
6. Partner with clinical and operational teams to assess system needs and enhancements.
7. Work closely with IT, project managers, and leadership to ensure successful system implementations.
8. Monitor system performance, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
9. Participate in system upgrades, testing, and change management processes.
10. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements.
11. Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into system usage and performance.
12. Contribute to Epic-related projects, ensuring timely delivery.
13. Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and implement best practices.
