Overview

Works closely with radiologist to perform Computerized Tomography patient examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting the philosophy, to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.  Maintains the standard of care delivered to infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

 

Schedule

Full Time, Evening Shift

2:30-11:00pm 

Weekends as needed

$20,000 Sign-on Bonus 

Qualifications

Education, Experience and/or Other Requirements

Must be a graduate of approved School of Radiologic Technology with ARRT registration and State of Illinois License.  The employee must receive ongoing formalized educational program for maintaining competency.  Current CPR certification and IV certification required.

 

Environmental Factors

This position is performed within an environment of daily exposure to irritating, unpleasant, or hazardous elements or conditions. Daily exposure to hazardous or potentially injurious elements or conditions.  Daily exposure to ionizing radiation. The employee will be exposed to blood, body fluids/tissues, and electromagnetic radiation, as in CRT’s or VDT’s.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Able to be on call an average of seven days in four weeks with an average of five to seven call backs per week. 
  • While performing the duties of the job the employee is required to stand 50% of the time.
  • The employee will frequently be required to lift, push and pull at least 5 to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to assist average sized person (150 pounds) to and from x-ray table, etc., in normal course of work.  Upon occasion must be able to support average person for approximately two minutes.
  • Ability to attend to visual details.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to receive and comprehend written and oral communications.
