Overview

Responsible for collecting clinical data to coordinate and schedule complex imaging procedures across all

modalities including Interventional Radiology, Neuro Interventional Radiology clinic, Non-Invasive Intervention,

and Molecular Imaging. Act as a point of contact between outpatient providers and clinical exam requests. Collect

patient information, clinical indications, and provider requests, and determine the correct exam type

for the desired procedure. The process of outpatient ordering requests involves collecting, interpreting, and

documenting clinical indications. Develops a comprehensive understanding of all outpatient imaging services

provided. Various clinical communication tasks are performed with imaging modalities, radiologists, specialty

areas (such as anesthesia), and provider offices through a call center. Embodies the Memorial

Qualifications

Education:

· High school education required.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

· N/A

Experience:

· Minimum of 2 years computer experience required.

· Medical secretarial experience or course work in medical terminology and anatomy preferred.

· Telephone customer service experience preferred.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Proficient typing skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills required.

Responsibilities

1. Required to proficiently schedule 80% of two outpatient Medical Imaging modalities according to established processes.

2. Coordinate scheduled exams with appropriate radiologists, and book necessary resources, and interact with various other personnel, such as Medical Imaging nursing staff, as needed.

3. Interact with a diverse base of customers and medical care providers while utilizing behavior that ensures a high level of patient care.

4. Collect required documents and history associated with patient appointments.

5. Establish and maintain excellent guest relations rapport with patients, providers and support staff, and colleagues.
