Overview

Supervises Inventory Control Clerks and Storeroom clerks in their daily duties. Ensures timely response to calls for service from patient care areas. Ensures timely completion of duties involving core clinical supply distribution processes. Ensures timely collection of durable medical equipment from patient care areas as needed. Ensures timely completion of decontamination activities.  Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Quality, Integrity and Stewardship that support our mission, vision and values.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate Degree required.

In lieu of a degree, three years’ supervisory or Informal leadership experience combined with college-level coursework would be considered.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years previous supervisory or demonstrated leadership experience required.

Minimum one year of inventory or customer service experience required.

 

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Should have good computer skills related to business applications and Microsoft business software.

Possesses a thorough understanding of the core distribution process technology (Omnicell, Par Locations, Material Management Software, etc...) from a troubleshooting standpoint to work with Information Services as needed to rectify problems.

    1. Ensures weekly schedule rotations are set and daily assignments are planned in advance. Supervises the scheduled colleague resources assigned to daily activities. Ensures that staff report promptly to their assigned role for that shift. The Supervisor will make needed re-assignments and accommodation when staff call-off due to illness or other circumstances.

     

    1. Ensures that core clinical supply distribution processes (i.e. Par Locations, Omnicell, etc.) are completed in a timely manner. Makes sure that processes are followed for receiving shipments, pulling orders, delivery of the items, rotation of stock, and placement on the units.

     

    1. Ensures that calls for service are handled promptly.

     

    1. Ensures that soiled durable medical equipment is collected promptly from the floors and returned to decontamination room for cleaning, inspection and recirculation.
