Our Psychiatric Counselor provides case coordination services to psychiatric patients of all ages and their families. Key responsibilities include conducting Comprehensive Psychiatric Social Histories, offering individual, group, and family counseling, and managing discharge planning. The counselor also facilitates the multidisciplinary team’s collaboration through the delivery of specialized departmental services.
Education:
Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
Preferred: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Minimum requirement: Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Experience:
Preferred: One to three years of supervised clinical experience in a psychiatric setting or a related field.
