The compliance coordinator ensures that behavioral health services meet all federal, state, and local regulations. This position is responsible for implementing comprehensive compliance strategies designed to uphold the highest standards in the delivery of behavioral health care to the community. Key responsibilities include conducting regular audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to regulatory requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing effective solutions to enhance compliance. The coordinator will also facilitate training sessions for staff members to ensure they are knowledgeable about compliance policies and procedures, fostering a culture of ethical practice within the organization. In collaboration with various stakeholders, including behavioral healthcare providers, administrative staff, and external regulatory agencies, the compliance coordinator will promote transparency and accountability in all operations.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, health care administration, or a related field.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
Leans Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
Experience:
Proficiency in conducting audits and monitoring programs to ensure adherence to regulatory standards preferred.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Competence in Microsoft Outlook programs including Word and Excel, and other electronic applications including the electronic healthcare record.
