Director of Emergency Medical Services
The Director of Emergency Medical Services at Springfield Memorial Hospital is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing, planning, and coordinating all emergency medicine initiatives within their areas of responsibility. This role focuses on achieving operational excellence by delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused patient care.
Key responsibilities include driving initiatives to enhance the coordination and delivery of emergency services, optimizing quality standards, overseeing ED billing processes, and supporting the operations of a Level 1 trauma center.
The Director serves as a key liaison, fostering strong professional relationships with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure seamless collaboration and continuous improvement in patient care and service delivery.
This leadership position requires a commitment to innovation, excellence, and the ability to lead a team dedicated to making a meaningful impact in emergency medical services.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in nursing, business, health care administration, or related field preferred. Clinical background preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
· RN
Experience:
· Minimum of five years progressively responsible health care management experience in tertiary care hospital setting.
· Demonstrated experience working effectively with physicians and other healthcare managers in a multidisciplinary environment.
· Experience in budgeting, operational planning, project management and performance improvement processes.

· Aptitude to work in a changing and ambiguous environment.
· Outstanding human relations skills and ability to interact with a broad range of people.
