Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Memorial Health Lab Information System (LIS), primarily Cerner PathNet and CoPathPlus, and third-party applications related to laboratory management and patient care. Maintains LIS, related systems, and records in compliance with CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments), CAP (College of American Pathology), AABB (American Association of Blood Banks), TJC (The Joint Commission), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and health system standards. Takes charge for planning, organizing, and managing the integrated LIS software and ensures an integrated plan for all assigned applications and laboratory instruments. Works closely with Laboratory leaders, medical directors, and end users to determine features, configurations, and workflow to optimize LIS functions. Serves as a liaison between Laboratory and Pathology, Information Systems, and other hospital departments, and coordinates the implementation of applications between user groups with the Laboratory and Pathology departments.
